This album convicted me of my sloth and torpor and cast a vision of godly masculine zeal, at a time when I was asleep. Praise God for the work of these brothers!
Favorite track: Where Are the Persecuted?.
WAKE UP SLEEPER is our attempt to recover and proclaim the themes of Final Judgment and Christian warfare that used to adorn the church, but are so despised and neglected today.

The Good Shepherd Band would like to thank the following people:
Ralph and Lois Buschbacher for raising such an irrepressible and loveable son, and for allowing us to commandeer their basement for four months. Dan who graciously endured all the noise. Lawrence and Janet Howell for their encouragement and support, without which this record would still be a far off dream. Our beautiful, godly wives for their patience, love, and service. Thank you Amy, thank you Jenna. David Pryor for lending us the nicest microphones we used (and the best sounding guitar amp). Lucas and Hannah Weeks for loaning out their beautiful piano. Mark Westerfield for helping us move it. Doug and Heather Ummel for opening their home to us. We love the sound of your living room! The entire board of ClearNote Fellowship for believing in our gifts and risking so much on us. Luke Trout for improving the look of things considerably. Darius Fong whose services we recommend to anyone trying to make a good record. Jake Mentzel who somehow manages to have a hand in everything.
May God richly bless all of you.

Several favorite hymns, old and new, on this album. I've especially appreciated how this album has introduced my children to some of the old hymns of the faith. Daniel Meyer

Outstanding. I love how you are advancing the rich legacy of hymnody in a day when modern worship songs are anemic, even atonal, by comparison. A great teaching tool for those who need to discover them, and an aid for the church-at-large to recover them. arotolo
